The project
A hospital building of about 105,000 sq ft on a campus at Borpadale where the practice had already designed a college building and a hostel for the same client. Hospital floors carry heavier loads than ordinary buildings and need longer spans for wards and theatres, and the structure had to be built without disturbing the working campus around it.
